Welcome to the web page for our Year 5/6 Class! It has been wonderful to see everyone return to school ready for a new term of learning, friendship and opportunities. Our two year groups have blended together really well, and it has been lovely to see the children getting to know one another and working together so positively.
As we settle into the new school year, our routines are beginning to embed, and the children are becoming increasingly confident with the expectations of our Year 5/6 classroom. We are looking forward to a busy and enjoyable term ahead, during which time your children will grow in confidence and independence.
Already, our Year 5s have started their brass lessons, our Year 6s are starting their secondary school visits, and together, the children have enjoyed our first Legacy Day (Winston Churchill) and an afternoon of outdoor learning. Our rugby lessons got off to a great start, and we have had our termly e-safety ahead of our Computing Unit about Bletchley Park. Keeping safe and being happy is paramount here at St Mary’s.
