Chaplaincy for All
Chaplaincy for All means that every child and member of staff in St Mary’s is a chaplaincy member. This a way of helping the children to recognise that, although we have our brilliant Chaplaincy Leaders from each class, each and every child in St Mary’s is a key member of chaplaincy who live their faith through their thoughts, words and actions.
The children know that by living out our school values, following Catholic Social Teaching principles, leading prayer in school, showing care for others and attending our many clubs such as CAFOD or Rosary - they are chaplaincy. We are a school of kindness and our children know that every little small act of kindness brings us closer to God. Chaplaincy is all about growing in faith and putting Christ at the centre of all that we do.
Chaplaincy Leaders
The Chaplaincy leaders volunteer and are then are selected by their classes because they show the St Mary’s school values and are good role-models for the spiritual life of our school.
At St Marys, all pupils are all part of the chaplaincy team as part of 'Chaplaincy for All', but our leaders help guide our journey. They plan and deliver worship, lead prayer groups, lead charitable initiatives in school and are leaders in their classes.
