Staying Safe On-line
As a staff, we feel that equipping children with the skills and knowledge that they need to stay safe online is essential. The Kapow curriculum scheme of work, alongside our PSHE/RSE scheme, teaches our children about the wonders and dangers of the online world and what they need to do to keep themselves safe.
Our Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) can be found here. The AUP is shared with children and their parents to support online safety at home as well as in school. Each new computing unit is started with an online safety lesson so that we are continually building on the children's knowledge and skills.
The following key organisations provide far more information on how to keep children safe on-line that we could do on a single page. Think You Know in particular is a very good place to start as all resources on this site are tailored to the specific age of the child.
